Verbatim SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity, SD 2.0) Cards are intended for use in compatible digital cameras, portable music players, camcorders, smartphones, PCs or other consumer devices. For SDHC Cards, a FAT32 file system is used, a specification intended for applications requiring higher capacities and which is particularly suitable for high-quality video. The increasing consumption of high-definition video, high-resolution digital photography and mobile devices requires a larger storage capacity and more demanding data transfer speeds. Therefore, SDHC cards guarantee a minimum sustained data transfer rate, not a maximum rate. Verbatim SDHC Cards are fully compliant with all relevant SD standards. They also have a write-protect feature to avoid accidental deletion. SDHC cards use the same physical format as SD cards, but they cannot be used for SD host devices that do not meet the SDA specifications, version 2.0.
