The Ubiquiti UniFi Protect G5 Dome is a professional dome camera for indoor use. This camera delivers razor-sharp images with a 4MP resolution, so you can clearly see what's happening at the location. Thanks to the infrared LEDs with IR cut filter, you not only have an overview of the entire situation during the day, but you can also see everything clearly at night. The microphone also ensures that audio is recorded so that you also have sound with the images and you can also play audio through the speaker.

Save camera images

The video recordings that the dome camera makes can be automatically saved on a (not included) NAS or NVR, such as the UniFi Protect Network Video Recorder. Thanks to H.264 video compression, the images do not take up much bandwidth and storage space. It is useful that you can view the images at any time via UniFi Protect (no licensing costs) on your desktop or via the app on your smartphone or tablet.

UniFi Protect surveillance software

UniFi Protect controller software is required to utilize the full functionality of the camera. Manage your cameras and watch live what's happening at the location. It is recommended to use the camera in combination with the UniFi Dream Machine Pro or UniFi Protect Network Video Recorder, but this is not a requirement. The advantage of an NVR is that the images are stored so that you can view them later. The UniFi Protect software gives you easy access to the image recordings of your UniFi IP cameras. View the images via the intuitive web interface on your computer or via the handy mobile appAndroidandiOSsmartphones. The timelapse function allows you to easily scroll through the images to view a specific event. For security, the surveillance images are only stored on your hardware (an NVR) and not in the cloud.

Assembly and power supply

The Ubiquiti UniFi Protect G5 Dome is powered via 802.3af Power over Ethernet. A PoE adapter or PoE switch is not included. With the supplied mounting bracket it is possible to mount the camera firmly on the ceiling or on the wall. Make sure that the camera is at least 60 cm from the wall for ceiling mounting or at least 60 cm from the ceiling for wall mounting.
