Super fast and stable outdoor connectivity
With support for 5G NR (SA and NSA) and LTE Advanced, the Ubiquiti UniFi 5G Max Outdoor offers high data speeds and wide band support for deployments across Europe. The maximum download speed is up to 3.4 Gbps over 5G NSA and up to 1.8 Gbps over 5G SA. This makes the device suitable as a primary internet connection at outdoor locations or as a redundant WAN connection for critical networks.
The six integrated antennas, including two high-gain antennas of 9 dBi for downlink, ensure optimal signal reception. This keeps the connection stable, even at greater distances to the transmission tower or in challenging RF environments.
Adoption via UniFi Cloud Gateway or UniFi Gateway
The UniFi 5G Max Outdoor only functions in combination with a UniFi Cloud Gateway or UniFi Gateway. Standalone use is not possible. Adoption and management are done via UniFi Network or the UniFi mobile app.
For most installations, LAN adoption offers the most flexibility. You connect the 2.5 GbE port to the LAN of your UniFi Gateway. This gives freedom in physical placement and cabling, while maintaining remote VPN access via Teleport on most mobile networks.
WAN adoption is recommended when your mobile carrier assigns a public IP address and you need remote access to services behind your Cloud Gateway, such as a VPN server. For WAN adoption, connect the UniFi 5G Max Outdoor to a PoE injector or to a reconfigured PoE WAN port of your Cloud Gateway. You then complete the adoption via UniFi Network or the UniFi mobile app.
Designed for extreme conditions
The aluminum housing is resistant to severe weather influences. The device is rated IPX6 as standard and IP67 is achieved with the included cable gland. Thanks to the wide temperature range from -40 to 65 °C, use in cold winters and warm summers is no problem.
The polycarbonate parts are UV-resistant and designed for long-term outdoor installation. With the included wall and pole holder you can easily attach the Ubiquiti UniFi 5G Max Outdoor to facades, masts or technical structures.
Seamless integration into UniFi
Within UniFi Network you centrally manage your WAN priorities, failover policy, monitoring and notifications. This makes the gateway suitable for redundant WAN configurations, mobile backup connections or fully mobile Internet applications in remote locations.
The 2.5 GbE port ensures that the available 5G bandwidth is passed on to your UniFi Gateway or switch without bottlenecks.
