60 GHz backbone with fallback at 5 GHz

The Wave AP Gen2 uses the 60 GHz spectrum for fast, interference-free communication with clients up to 6 km away. In bad weather conditions or signal loss, the system automatically switches back to the built-in 5 GHz WiFi 6 radio to maintain the connection.

High capacity for Point-to-Multipoint applications

With support for up to 31 clients and a symmetrical data rate of up to 2.7 Gbps, the Wave AP Gen2 is suitable for applications such as wireless internet distribution, camera networks or outdoor locations with multiple receivers. You can easily optimize the network per connection via Wave AI and the UISP controller.

Flexible installation and robust design

The access point is suitable for mounting on a mast or pole (Ø 25–60 mm) and can withstand harsh weather conditions thanks to the IPX6 classification. The housing is made of UV-resistant polycarbonate and aluminum. Wind loads up to 200 km/h are no problem.

Dual-port network interface

For connection to the LAN, you have a 2.5 GbE RJ45 port and a 10G SFP+ connection. This way you can connect the unit flexibly, depending on the backbone capacity and infrastructure on location.

Extensive management and analysis options

The Wave AP Gen2 is managed via UISP and supports features such as ping watchdog, SNMP, NTP, antenna alignment and a comprehensive site survey tool. You can immediately read the system status, GPS lock and network activity via the LED indicators.
