Economical SFP RJ45 1.25G 100M module from Extralink The Extralink SFP RJ45 module with a throughput of 1000 Mb/s is an efficient and economical device compliant with the Gigabit Ethernet and 1000-BASE-T standards specified by the IEEE 802.3-2002 and IEEE 802.3ab standards. The SFP RJ45 insert supports data rates of 1000 Mbps at distances of up to 100 meters for Category 5 Ethernet cable and a full duplex data link of 1000 Mbps with 5-level Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM). All four pairs in the cable are used at a symbolic speed of 250 Mbps for each pair. Extralink SFP RJ45 provides standard SFP MSA compliant serial ID information, which can be accessed with address A0h via the 2-wire CMOS EEPROM serial protocol. The physical IC can also be accessed via the two-wire serial bus at address A0h. The SFP RJ45 module is compatible with most gigabit SFP ports found in network devices. The device has a full metal casing, which ensures a low EMI coefficient.
