Patch panel by Extralink cat. 5e, STP, 1U Patch panel is one of the basic elements used in the construction of structured cabling. It is mounted in the rails of a 19" rack cabinet using the same screws used to mount active devices. The patch panel is used to terminate cables that come together in the distribution cabinet. To maintain the proper connection standard, the RJ-45 ports of the Category 5e STP patch panel are connected to the active device using patch cords of the appropriate category and design. The cable is connected to the patch panel using a dedicated clamping tool, also known as a Krone knife.
