Patchcords are also widely used in FTTH networks to connect OLT and ONU/ONT devices. These cables have the LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) material classification, which means that their sheath is made of thermoplastic or thermosetting compounds that, under the influence of high temperatures, emit a limited amount of smoke and do not emit halogen.
